My Hundredth Newsletter

For virtually two years, I’ve had the privilege of composing this weekly newsletter. Not only has it given me something to look forward to every week, it’s also given me the chance to share my ideas, observations and opinions. This has meant a lot to me. I’d like to thank my niece, Jen, for giving me the idea and helping me set up the newsletter. I’d especially like to thank my wife, Donna, who not only edited and encouraged me, she also helped come up with interesting photos designed to catch the reader’s interest.

My newsletters are also available on Booksie.com and have had over four thousand views, but unfortunately, there are no photos possible and this has been disappointing. Nevertheless, subscribers to Booksie.com have taken the time to read my work even without the photos. Catchy words in the titles are all I have to catch and hold their interest.

I think this will be my last newsletter for a while. After two years, I’ve kind of run of ideas, and I feel myself struggling to come up with new ones. It’s my intention of taking a break and then writing a new newsletter every few weeks or so.

I thought I’d mention my fifty-page chapbook called; With Every Step I Take. It was supposed to be published with Parousia Magazine in February and since it contained fifty brand new poems, I was very disappointed when the publisher went off line for a while. Then just a week ago, they apologized for not getting back to me, and say that they are going to publish my book very soon. I’m really hoping they do. Fingers crossed! I’ve included the cover of the book below.

I’d like to sincerely thank everyone who has taken an interest in my writing and have read my newsletter every week. For the past two years, it has meant a lot. My previous newsletters can be viewed here. While I’m taking a short break, I will definitely try to come up with some fresh and hopefully exciting ideas in the future.
